The VN5 is best described as a range extender. Whilst there are a substantial set of lithium ion batteries beneath the load floor, under the bonnet is a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. You get a pure electric range of 64 miles and a total flexible range of 319 miles with the range extender – letting you spend more time on the road and less time at a charging point. Payload is highest with the entry-level Business trim (694-830kg), followed by the remaining City (691-791kg) and Ultima (680-780kg) trims.
