What Is Personal Car Leasing?

Personal car leasing (also known as Personal Contract Hire / PCH) is a car finance option where you pay fixed monthly payments for an agreed period of time to get a brand new vehicle. Leasing usually will have the lowest monthly payments on the market in comparison to other car finance options, and takes a lot of hassle away as once your deal comes to an end, you simply hand the car back and get a new lease deal.

You simply choose what car you want, decide a term length (2, 3 or 4 years), select how many miles you will be driving, and select how much you would like to pay upfront for the deal. There are no hidden costs so long as you return the car within its mileage limit and that there is no damage to the car beyond fair wear and tear. If you're new to leasing, we have some handy guides to help including a Guide to Car Leasing and the process of leasing a car. We also have pages on Business Leasing and Electric & Hybrid Leasing if these are something you are looking to read more about.

What Is Included in a Personal Lease?

One of the best things about personal car leasing is that it includes a few additional things in the monthly cost, meaning less for you to worry about and organise yourself. Road tax, manufacturer's warranty and breakdown cover are all included in the majority of our lease deals. Not only that, but you will also get your brand new car delivered straight to your doorstep for free.

Usually, the costs of maintenance and servicing aren't included automatically in your lease deal, but our leasing partners will be happy to quote for this if it is something they provide. Although, as the car is brand new, there will be a lot that is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but for extra peace of mind you can opt for a maintenance and servicing package.
