The Kia Sorento is the Korean firm’s flagship seven-seater SUV and you'd struggle to find fault with how they have developed its third-generation version. It's certainly more attractive and a lot of thought and quality engineering has clearly been put into refinement, both acoustical and how it feels to the touch. It's a more mature, confident design and given that it's the biggest and most premium Kia yet, it shows the Koreans’ ambition to tackle any rivals that might get in the way. The Sorento looks quite a notch more expensive than it is and, in many ways, it would present itself as too-good-a-bargain to pass up, even in a segment known for being famously badge-conscious. Seven-seater SUVs aren’t exactly knocking at your door right now, but this one is highly recommendable. Make sure you try one before paying for something dearer in this line as there is a little extra cost than before, but it is justified with the added luxury and a generous tech equipment list.
It's just such an easy vehicle to get on well with because it's levels of practicality are to be revered; it's spacious, comfortable, easy-to-drive and well-kitted-out as we mentioned. It's even fairly competitive to run, so there you have it. Self-reviewed by Kia as its new progress marker, the Sorento is available in the following trims: the GT-Line, GT-Line S, KX-1, KX-2 and KX-3.
