Jaecoo Lease Deals

Watch out . . . another Chinese car brand in town.

This one (established 2023) an offshoot of Chery – who you're more likely to have heard of. Seen as something of a cousin to Omoda, the brand has a focus on producing SUVs for international markets. "Jaecoo" combines the German word 'Jäger' meaning "hunter," with the English word "cool". So that clears that up . . .

In 2024, the brand introduced its first model – the Jaecoo J7, a premium SUV designed to compete with some of the more established ones (think the Nissan Qashqai and the Hyundai Santa Fe). It's available in both petrol and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, with the hybrid version being slightly more expensive than its petrol equivalent.

And Jaecoo's not stopping there. The brand aims to operate in more than 60 markets through over 3,000 dealerships, with the goal of selling 1.5 million vehicles by the year 2030. And for the UK, Jaecoo has announced plans to introduce 5 affordable models, including the J7 and J8 SUVs, with a range of prices across the board. That's of course a key stepping stone as part of the plan to establish itself as a key rival to the likes of KIA and Hyundai in the UK market.

New to Leasing?

Not to worry, there's nothing scary about it. It's similar to PCP but more like a long-term rental, with no optional balloon payment at the end.

Another difference is that, unlike with PCP, pretty much all lease cars are new – but for a similar or often a cheaper price.
