Named after Japanese industrialist Soichiro Honda, Honda used to be more known for motorcycles, with its popularity as a car manufacturer really picking up around the turn of the new millennium. Launched in 2019 and inspired by F1 technology, this five-door crossover SUV brings verve and versatility to every journey. With a more spacious interior than other cars in its class, the HR-V features Honda's distinctive 'magic seats'. Capable of folding back like cinema chairs, they help contribute to an overall top quality interior. Like many modern SUVs, the HR-V is also marked by its stylish looks – being, in Honda's words, "Precisely, pleasingly, perfect." A hybrid model, the HR-V is powered by two electric motors and a 1.5 litre Petrol Turbo, producing a maximum 129bhp. The performance is nothing special, but for an SUV it does the job, with the HR-V going from 0-62mph in over 10 seconds and having a top speed of 106mph. That being said, with 335-litres boot space, the HR-V is outdone by rivals like the SEAT Arona (400-litres) and the Peugeot 2008 (434-litres).
