Not one you will have heard of, GWM (Great Wall Motors) is yet another Chinese manufacturer trying to break into the UK market, and GWM ORA is its electric off-shoot brand. And yes, ORA does sound a bit like Oreo, which can only be a good thing . . .

It's much like MG in that respect, although the latter has already established itself on our shores.

But although still a relative unknown in the automotive world, GWM ORA cars are known for their cuteness and compactness (sort of like those ingenious little Asian gadgets you find in tailored stores). Which means that, yes, you can be sure of some sweet tech to go with them. The fact the brand's still fairly obscure means that the GWM ORA range isn't quite as extensive as that of other manufacturers, so there's not a whole lot of GWM ORA vehicles around to choose from.

But those which are promise to be fairly recognisable.

Take the GWM ORA Funky Cat, for example.

Small, distinctive and . . . funky, it's an EV with an attitude, and the first GWM ORA car to be released in the UK. Let's hope we see more in the future.
