The seventh generation Ford Galaxy may not hit the heights of the Milky Way, but it sure tries its best to reach for the stars. We admit that it can be difficult for an MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) to appeal to anyone except the very largest of families, and even this vehicle's comfortable interior and top-notch safety tech doesn't stop it from having a bit of a 'private hire' image. The Galaxy comes in at three trim levels, starting with the Zetec before moving up to the Titanium and the Titanium X. Even the entry-level Zetec gives you dual-zone climate control and an 8" touchscreen, but if you want the likes of dual-zone climate control, a rear camera and exterior chrome touches, you're going to have to upgrade. Being an MPV, there's plenty of space to go around, with a 300-litre capacity boot space that extends to 1,301-litres with the third row of seats folded down, and finally extending to a whopping 2,339-litres with just the front two seats in place. Enough room for a piano! Good news is that a hybrid version was recently released as well. It's fitted with a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined power output of 197bhp and letting the Galaxy go from 0-62mph in 10 seconds. Top speed is 115mph.
